The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation Clinical Trials Unit, is familiar with HIV prevention research through its involvement with the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, especially their vaccine work. HIV is a major problem in South Africa, and more prevention research and options are needed here until we can find a cure for HIV/AIDS. We think it is a good idea to work with local NGOs to provide lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans (LGBT)-sensitivity and education workshops to the general community in order to break down HIV and gay stigma.
